Customer Reviews

Barry & Gay Goss,  Australia - March 2025

What a trip - cannot speak more highly of it and would recommend anyone to take it.  I had not been to the South Island and was looking forward to enjoying the scenery and this tour gave me just that.  Our guides were amazing and made a fantastic team. The trains made for an interesting inclusion to the itinerary and gave a different perspective to road travel. All in all, a perfect holiday!

Stephen Tyson, NC, USA – March 2025 Tour

Absolutely amazing!!! Stunning scenery, tour guides top notch... From Christchurch, Milford Sound, Mt Cook and beyond, all excursions were professionally presented by all. History, stories and friendly banter by guides and travelers made the experience that much more pleasant. Strongest possible recommendation for anyone wanting the Kiwi experience. This American will be back!

Catherine Robertson, Australia - April 2025

Ray and I have just completed the April tour. We were impressed with the organisation and professionalism of the staff, tour leaders and coach drivers. They made certain that we were all knew what we were about to experience and where to be at certain times! It was an amazing tour of South Island NZ. Many thanks to all, especially Lauren, Niki and Noah.

Raewyn Quayle, Auckland, NZ - March '24 Tour

What a fabulous tour! A trip of a lifetime encompassing our love of trains. We meet some awesome tour mates and made some friends from overseas. The tour was professionally put together with excellent tour guides and leaders and nothing was too much trouble. Bucket list adventures all ticked off and the most gorgeous weather, we were spoilt.

Mary Carstensen, Darwin, AUS- April 2023 Tour

I did the tour in April 2023. It was a wonderful trip through stunning landscapes, conducted by expert guides with top notch accommodation and meals. The trains are relaxing and the scenery is panoramic. The staff go all out to make it happen seamlessly and have interesting stories to tell. It is very good value with no hidden extras and fair refunds if optional tours are cancelled by weather or other events.

Susan and Bob James, WA, AUS - October '23 Tour

This was one of the best organized tours we have ever been on and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The itinerary definitely showed us the best of the South Island of New Zealand and we were awestruck by the magnificent and grandeur of the mountainous scenery.

We had a wonderful holiday.
